Do you know what lurex is and how can you use it in your embroidery? If not read this issue with small tips and tutorial.
What is lurex?
Lurex is a type of thread that is used in embroidery. Lurex can be embroidered as an independent thread, or added to the main color. Since this thread is quite thin and the process will be time-consuming, the combination with other material will make it easier for you.
What is lurex for?
Such threads add shine and elegance to the embroidery, they shimmer well in the light. Lurex thread can be already offered to you in the set by the manufacturer, or you can optionally add it to any embroidery plot to make it more elegant.
Also, lurex can be already woven into the canvas, such options can be found in some manufacturers. The materials differ both in their composition, color, and color of the lurex thread.
Canvas with lurex is suitable only for works with partial stitching, otherwise the whole effect will be lost. It will look great in winter plots or magic stories.
